A one day conference at Carrs Lane Church, Birmingham on Saturday 14 May when Modern Church joins with PCN Britain, St Marks CRC and Free to Believe to celebrate the life of Marcus Borg.

Diana describes herself as a Christian, ‘who attempts to live the generative, inviting, inclusive, and transforming practices at the heart of Christianity that can heal the world’. Her book ‘Christianity without Religion’ is a truly inspiring piece of writing, very much in the footsteps of Borg.

Performing the Faith: Shakespeare in the World: 11-13 July 2016.

Keynote speaker: The Most Revd and Rt Hon Lord Rowan Williams of Oystermouth

This residential conference at High Leigh Conference Centre will explore Shakespeare’s links with religion. These are complex, but his plays contain much implicit (and occasionally more explicit) theology. And the very form of the drama owes much to religious traditions – even if the Church has at times viewed it with suspicion.

The conference chair is the Rev Dr Alison Milbank and the chaplain is the Rev Dr Paul Edmondson.
