Inclusive Church is getting ready for Pride!
Pride is now only days away – and we are keen that as many from supportive Inclusive Churches would want to encourage their congregations to join with us. There have been some changes to the Pride event - the information here is up to date as of 30th June.
There are a number of events running up to Pride that you may want to highlight to your churches – full details can be found at the Christians at Pride site: http://christiansatpride.com/
A couple of highlights:
Monday 2 July: Beer and Hymns. Sing your favourite hymns in the Black Cap in Camden, 7-9pm, accompanied by leading organist Gavin Roberts and a few pints. This is being supported partly by Young Inclusive Church – so encourage any young people within your churches who may be interested to go along.
Friday 6 July: Brenda Harrison Memorial Lecture: All God's Children: Believing, Belonging, Beloved by Sharon Ferguson at St Martin in the Fields, 7.30-9pm
Saturday 7 July: Christians at Pride Meet outside Methodist Church House, 25 Marylebone Road, at 10 a.m. (Please note change of time) to walk in the Pride Parade. Please remember that it makes a really big impact if we all wear the Christians at Pride T shirt –you can order them here: http://christiansatpride.com (This year generously sponsored by an IC church - St Andrew’s Earlsfield!)
T Shirts will also be available on the day as you arrive.
After the Pride March we gather at 6pm for the Service of Welcome and Celebration at Bloomsbury Baptist Church
Clergy – please wear collars! Great sign to those at Pride – and a good way to open up some excellent conversations.
So…see you at Pride then!
